What can I say but nice work on developing the 8 hour course. Unfortunately, I am not able to recommend the course to students as it is too expensive even at the 20% reduction. I paid $420 CDN for 8 hours. You realize that Pluralsight is half that and provide access to all their database whether I wish to train cyber or tech, or whatever certification. So, you see, I found this 8 hour course well formed but too expensive to share.

My course isn't part of a subscription library, so the pricing reflects the full package included: the complete documentation toolkit (£85), more than 800 supporting mini-courses, updates, and a proven framework based on my consultancy approach designed to save smaller organisations significant time and money. There are also ongoing costs on my side such as hosting, tax, and professional services, which all sit behind keeping the programme available and up to date.

We attempted ISO 27001 with a compliance tool, but ended up finding it more trouble than it was worth. In my attempt to find a new approach I stumbled across Alan's free material. It was excellent, and unlike anything else I could find, actually made it sound like we could achieve it on our own.
I quickly purchased the course, and we're now well on our way through our ISO 27001 journey with a lot more confidence.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to understand ISO 27001, whether they are looking to see what is involved, attempt it on their own, or even if they are using a consultant.

This set of templates enabled me to produce an initial ISMS rapidly and prompted me to work through the documents required with useful advice. I would highly recommend this to anyone else looking at going through ISO27001. I haven't completed the audit itself yet....but time will tell on the level of change required to do that
